The Senior IT Officer is responsible for providing technical support to end users, managing IT infrastructure, and ensuring smooth operations of all desktop, laptop, and peripheral devices. The role involves troubleshooting complex issues, collaborating with the IT team, and maintaining hardware and software systems efficiently.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide front-line IT support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network-related issues, escalating when necessary.
  • Maintain a log of IT support requests and ensure timely resolution of issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware, including desktops, laptops, printers, and scanners.
  • Ensure timely software installations, updates, and security patches.
  • Maintain IT asset inventory and manage procurement as needed.
  • Work closely with the IT team to resolve escalated technical issues.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and guidance on complex IT challenges.
  • Assist in IT process optimization and documentation.

 

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS operating systems.
  • Experience in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Required Experience & Education:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in IT support or system administration.

Position Description

The role will coordinate with end-user relationships while responding to both critical and routine application support requests. It will also interface with vendors and consultants for development and support.


Job Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for internal and external applications, ensuring timely issue resolution.
  • Perform routine monitoring and maintenance to ensure application performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve application-related problems, including database and API issues.
  • Work with end users to understand issues, collect requirements, and implement solutions.
  • Maintain application configurations to ensure smooth operation and security.
  • Develop, test, and implement application enhancements and new features based on business needs.
  • Integrate APIs between internal and external systems.
  • Collaborate with vendors and business teams to design and implement improvements.
  • Develop basic queries to extract data from the Oracle database.
  • Assist in the audit process by maintaining accurate records of application configurations, updates, and changes.

Required Competencies

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:

  • Knowledge and experience with .NET, REST APIs, and Oracle database queries (SQL, PL/SQL).
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Required Education & Experience

  • Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline from a reputable / HEC-recognized institution.
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in a relevant discipline (a plus).
  • Experience: 2 – 5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Project Manager in developing project plans, timelines, and budgets
  • Monitor project progress and identify any potential issues or roadblocks
  • Review requirement specifications, functional specs etc. with wire frame diagrams and process charts.
  • Coordinate and communicate with cross-functional teams to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner
  • Assist in preparing project update reports and presentations for stakeholders
  • Participate in project meetings and provide input on project strategies and decision-making
  • Help to manage project scope, ensuring any changes or deviations are properly assessed and documented
  • Assist in quality assurance and risk management activities to minimize project risks and ensure deliverables meet quality standards
  • Assist in the preparation of training materials and conducting end-user training as and when required.
  • Assist in the management of contracts with external stakeholders by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables.
  • Assist in internal approvals for payments and new requisitions.
  • Any other task assigned by the Supervisor

Required Competencies to successfully perform:

  • Sound understanding of software development & project management methodologies
  • Proven experience in a project management role
  • Excellent Communication, analytical, planning & time management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Technical writing skills including the ability to prepare reports, proposals etc.
  • Highly proficient at MS Office including MS Project
  • Knowledge of basic database operations for SQL and Oracle.

Required Education & Experience:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline from a reputable / HEC recognized institution or
  • Master’s degree is preferred
  • Minimum 3-4 years’ relevant industry experience is preferred
